Therapeutic Massage

Swedish massage techniques are used to manipulate soft tissues and muscles to alleviate discomfort & stress. Therapeutic massage can be used to treat specific ailments &/or injuries such as neck tension, frozen shoulder, lower back pain etc.  Techniques that may be used but not limited to: effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, & rapid release.  Treatments are customized to clients desired outcomes and needs at the appointment.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is applied with firmer pressure to reach deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. This requires more exertion from the therapist and strenuous body mechanics.  Techniques used but not limited to can be Petrissage, tapotement, frictions, rapid release, & trigger point therapy. Deep tissues massage is affected in treating repetitive stress injuries or chronic pain. Deeper work can result in soreness and bruising. Treatments are customized to clients desired outcomes.

Hot Stone

Therapist uses smooth heated stones placed at key points on the body.  Treatment alternates between stone stroke and manual manipulation.  Temperature of stones monitored and administered safely.  The stones allow the heat to go deeper into the muscle and more pliable muscle manipulation. Basalt stones gliding along the skin has a very relaxing effect. Hot Stone therapy can be used to treat a range of concerns.  Treatments are customized to clients desired outcomes. Not recommended for pregnancy or high blood pressure. Applicable for direct billing.

Prenatal Massage

Predominantly Swedish techniques are used to alleviate pain and discomfort during pregnancy. Prenatal massage can significantly reduce stress, reduce swelling, and aid in sleep. A pregnancy bolster is used for clients to have a comfortable and safe massage while laying on their tummy. Alternatively, the bolster & other props can be used for side-lying positions. Treatment will be customized to the client’s preference and based on the stage of pregnancy at the time of appointment.  Broader and lighter strokes are generally used avoiding techniques and areas that are contraindicated for pregnancy.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction allowing movement of fascia and scar tissue release. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and well-being. Treatments are customized to clients desired outcomes and needs at the appointment.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release applies sustained pressure on targeted areas of connective tissue (fascia) that surround your muscles, tissues, organs, and bones. This pressure is meant to release the restriction in the connective tissue so that you have greater range of motion and less pain. The therapist maintains a gentle & steady pressure for three to five minutes at a time in the targeted area. The fibers must be allowed sufficient time to soften and stretch. Generally, no oil is added to the skin so the therapist can locate and release the areas of connective tissue that are restricted. Other massage techniques can be incorporated into the session.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a light and gentle treatment. It encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste and toxins from body tissues and the circulatory system. Unlike the circulatory system with the heart, the lymphatic system does not have an internal pump. The therapist will use manual techniques to create movement within the system and reduce congestion.

Yoga & Meditation

Sunrise Yoga

In yogic discipline, the morning is considered the divine time when an individual’s spiritual energy is at its peak. The emphasis on breathwork gives your brain fresh oxygen which will increase mental clarity & focus for your day.  Practice is intuitively led by your instructor to what the group calls for. This may include meditation, pranayama, alignment, and asana.

Hatha Flow

Yoga with a focus on breath, alignment, and asana (postures). These classes range in theming based on student needs and focus on mindful embodiment. Hatha is a gentle, slower flow, than vinyasa. Class can be modified to be more strenuous or restorative. Intention of sequence to peak posture, specific muscle groups, chakras, or intention.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga has its roots in China, unlike the more popular and active yoga disciplines, which originated in India. It was founded on the Taoist theory of yin and yang – opposite concepts that, together, represent balance. This class is a slower paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.

Yin Yang Yoga

Start the morning facing the sunrise for a vinyasa practice that flows into a mindful close with Yin energy and poses. All levels are welcome. Modifications are available for the beginner and to keep the experienced student challenged.

Wellness Support Flow

A gentle flow to slow down your day and support a mindful practice. Wellness support flow involves stress management guided postures, breath, and meditation.

Happy Hips

This class is designed to target those areas in hips.  Many people hold tension and emotions deep in the hips. Our hips affect the way we move, sit, & lie down. When we open the hips gently, we allow for more flow in a generally stagnant area.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasas yoga is a style of yoga that is practiced linking conscious breath with dynamic fluid movement. Postures are linked in a sequence that flows together like a dance. Vinyasa is generally a faster pace than hatha and in constant flow. This class increases blood flow.

Intuitive Flow

Yoga is intuitively guided by the instructor to the group’s needs. Instructor considers seasonal and moon cycles. Class will include but not limited to asana, pranayama, alignment, & meditation.
